She’s just a snug little bug in a rug.

I thought it would be appropriate seeing that in the next couple of weeks it will be Mother’s Day.

I know I tell my mom I love her everyday and that I miss her daily. However, I don’t think she knows how much I adore her, how much I miss her and love her. I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t have her. You mean the world to me.

I think over the next couple of weeks we should all take a moment to think about our mommas.

I was a bit sneaky to capture this photo of my mom. I don’t think she had any idea…because I was playing with the flowers on her table:) Love you mommabean!

I met Kyle and Jane in Baddeck to photograph their engagement session.

I had planned in my head the little locations where we were going to head…however the little snow storm that happened stopped all thoughts of that right in our tracks. We decided to use Kyles sisters house for a few of our shots and I was so pleasant that Kyle and Jane decided to venture outside.

Let me tell you they both were troopers! The snow was in our eyes…in our hair…and the wind just wouldn’t let up.

Can’t wait for August to get here guys!!

Easter weekend cliff and I packed the car and the cat (poggie) and headed to Cape Breton for some much needed time out of the city.

That weekend I had an engagement session, family and newborn session all rolled into one weekend on that Saturday. Let me refresh your memory for a second. Friday if you recall was amazing out….the sky was a bright blue with those cute little puffy clouds and the temp was between +5 and +10.

When I awoke on Saturday morning it was grey out….it was a vast sea of greyness. Which is alright…defused light it away amazing to work with.

I packed my gear and headed to Baddeck, where all sessions were taking place.

We got some great images from my family and newborn sessions…However when it was time for the engagement session it was a little hectic outside. There was snow falling, wind blowing and still with the cast sea of greyness.

We’ll start this post with the lovely newborn session sneak peek :)

As the Spring air breezed through my open office window. I sat curled up in my leather chair trying to get my family price collections ready for the release on April 1st. I then realized that I should find an image in my library that I have taken that gives you the look at how I feel at the moment with the breeze and the sun beaming down on me.

I took this last summer at a family session and this is exactly how I feel. The images on the right is exactly how I feel about Spring arriving. Welcome Spring…we welcome you with WIDE open arms.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!

Cliff got these cute little magnets at Chapters the other night when we were just roaming around. So..for the past week I’ve been adding little notes all around I Love you. It’s a sweet little way to say I love you every time you go into the kitchen.

We tend to show our love each and every day..but we take a few extra minutes today for each other. I loved my card this morning..and the way to his heart is to surprise him with a coffee from Tim Hortons :)

It’s 10pm and I’m ready to hit the hay…however I’m going to stay up just a little to do my thursday randomness just for you :)

1. I’m not a fan of cars…but I’m sitting here listening to Barrett-Jackson Auto Action..why you may ask…only one reason. It’s because of the auctioneer ? Is that what they’re called? The person that speaks extremely fast…and the floor workers that yell. love it.

2.  I love pancakes. However…not so much with syrup on my pancakes.

3. I’m not a morning person. Please have coffee ready for me. I can do anything after 8am…but anything before that…not so much.

4. I try to grow my fingernails…but it never works out…it’s a hate hate relationship.

5. I work with the TV on. Its the only way I can work…weird I know.

6. I enjoy camping…however I hate bugs..so we never go :(

7. I don’t have a cell phone. I’m probably the only person that doesn’t…it’s alright…I have onstar on my car…it’s my emergency phone.

8. I’m not a fan of winter…but would sit in a snowbank and freeze my little buns off to be able to photograph a polar bear.

9. We can’t have candy in the house…I WILL find it.

10. My days just aren’t the same without coffee…I tried…I really did…but then I noticed I was cranky. So…I tried hot chocolate and by the end of the day…I had 2 cups of coffee….2 cups of hot chocolate and multiple glasses of juice and water…

It’s Monday and I normally blog about coffee…however I haven’t been sleeping the best lately, which isn’t all too fun. So I’m taking a break from coffee and sweets for alittle while. Hopefully it helps. I may still blog about coffees that cliff drinks…but we’ll see.

So..for this Monday I’m going to show you all that size with the choice of your images really does matter. Have a glance at our images that showcase a 8×10 canvas and a 30×10 canvas…Which would you choose to showcase your images? Think about your own home…above your couch…above your fireplace…what about going up the stairs or down the hall. We want to showcase your images in your home the way that the images should be showcased.

Welcome to 2012 people! I don’t do resolutions…I really don’t believe in them. You’re either going to do something or you’re not…thats about it with me. However…I have taken on live with no regrets. I don’t want to look at my life 20 or even 30 years form now and be like “why didn’t I do that?” or “how come I never did that or went there..or saw that…” I believe living with no regret will make me a better person…a better daughter…a better sister…and a better wife…yes I call myself wife..even though we’re not married…yet.

I’m going to let you in on a few of my live with no regrets…

1. Always saw I love you. No matter how what the situation is..always say I love you.

2. I want to photograph polar bears, penguins and giraffes. I don’t mean just head to the local zoo and sit infront of the gates and photograph them. I mean to actually leave my home town and head off to their environment…Yes..I mean to head to the arctic…the south pole…and even Kenya.
For someone that has never left the East Coast or the closest I’ve been to an airplane was watching people…yes I said watching…go sky diving.
This regret would more than likely be my biggest. It’s something that I’m passionate about.

3. Do the things I or WE want to do…not what everyone else is doing simply because everyone else is doing it.

4. Take more photographs for ME.

Those are only a few on my little regret list. I do have many many more that I keep to myself because my thought is..if I tell everyone this is what I’m doing…then either…I’ll fail or I’m not doing it for myself. I’m doing it because I told everyone I’m doing it..which will make me force myself to do it.

Anyways…to finish off this little randomness I would let you all in on a little secret. I don’t take photos of myself…mostly because I don’t enjoy seeing photos of myself. However…in this case with this photo…I love the photo…it’s a bit awkward but that’s alright.
